AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE
BUREAU OF WATER OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA,
AND OHIO VALLEY ELEVATED WATER TANK CORP. OF
HENDERSON, KENTUCKY FOR THE CLEANING AND PAINTING
OF THE 250,000 GALLON WATER STORAGE TANK LOCATED ON
SOUTH FELLOWS STREET IN SOUTH BEND, INDIANA IN THE
TOTAL AMOUNT OF $4,500.00.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
SECTION I. That the Contract entered into between the Bureau of Water
of South Bend, Indiana and Ohio Valley Elevated Water Tank Corp. of
Henderson, Kentucky on the 3rd day of May, pursuant to advertising and
receipt of bids as the purchase of same is required in the operation of
the Bureau of Water, in a total quantity and a total cost not to exceed
the quantity and cost itemized for each classification in the amount of
$4,500.00.
Cleaning and Painting of Water Storage Tank - $4,500.00
SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor.

SUBJECT: Ordinance for the Cleaning and Painting of the 250,000 Gallon
Water Storage Tank
The Bureau of Water is presenting an Ordinance to the Common
Council which will approve one Contract for the cleaning and painting of
the 250,000 gallon water storage tank located on South Fellows Street.
Bids were let pursuant to the Statutes of the State of
Indiana and were found competitive. The Contract was awarded to Ohio
Valley Elevated Water Tank Corp. of Henderson, Kentucky by the Board of
Water Works Commissioners on the 3rd day of May, 1976, as being the
lowest and best bid

Total net amount of the purchase is $4,500.00.
