AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING $650.00 FROM VARIOUS
ACCOUNTS WITHIN THE CITY CLERK'S BUDGET OF
THE GENERAL FUND OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA, TO ACCOUNT NO. 110.0, "SALARIES AND
WAGES ".
WHEREAS, certain extraordinary conditions have developed
since the adoption of the existing budget for the City Clerk, and
it is now necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated
in the original budget for the various functions of city government
to meet such extraordinary conditions; and
WHEREAS, additional funds are needed in Account No. 110.0
in order to assure the department's ability to properly perform
its functions; and
WHEREAS, a surplus exists in various accounts within the
City Clerk's budget which are not presently needed:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the
City of South Bend, Indiana:
SECTION I. That the sum of $650.00 be transferred between
various accounts as set forth below:
Reduce the following accounts:

November 19, 1975
On December 31, 1975, Barbara Byers will terminate
her employment as Chief Deputy Clerk.
I would like to be able to hire a new secretary
to work with Barbara during the month of December to
familiarize herself with the duties and responsibilities
of the office. Therefore, I am asking for a transfer
of funds to the Salaries and Wages Account in the amount
of $650.00, to cover the salary.
