ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING THE SUM OF $625.00 BETWEEN
VARIOUS ACCOUNTS IN THE BUREAU OF COMMUNICATIONS, ALL
ACCOUNTS BEING WITHIN THE GENERAL FUND, CITY OF SOUTH
BEND, INDIANA.
WHEREAS, certain extraordinary conditions have developed
since the adoption of the existing budget for the Bureau of Communications,
in the General Fund, so that it is now necessary to appropriate more
money than was appropriated in the original budget for the various
functions of City Government to meet such extraordinary conditions: and
WHEREAS, additional funds are needed for various accounts
within the Bureau of Communications, in the General Fund budget to assure
that departments ability to properly perform its functions; and
WHEREAS, a surplus exists in various accounts of the Bureau of
Communications, in the General Fund, which are not presently needed:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the
City of South Bend, INdiana:
SECTION I. That the sum of $625.00 be transferred between
various accounts as set forth below:
Reduce the following accounts:

SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage by the Common Council and its approval by the
Mayor.

Gentlemen:
The undersigned respectfully requests a transfer of funds
to Other Supplies (00 0370.0 006) from the following two
accounts:
Building & Structure Repairs (00 0251.0 000) -
Equipment Repairs
(00 0252.0 000) -

In an attempt to obtain some assurance that the Cityts radio
equipment, particularly that of the Fire and Police Departments,
will not be benched for lack of discrete and proprietary parts,
we make this request at this late date.
Account 0251.0, which is meant to be insurance against lightning
or wind damage to our several antenna structures about the city
has never been used; the chances are good it will not be used
this year, since the wind and lightning season is past.
Account 0252.0, used mainly for repairs and calibration of
service equipment and meters, can be delayed until early 1976.
