AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $935,000 FROM THE
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FUND, FOR CONTINUATION
OF REDEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES, TO BE ADMINISTERED
BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH ITS DEPARTMENT
OF REDEVELOPMENT.
WHEREAS, the Department of Human Resources in the
name of the City of South Bend has received the approval of
the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development
to execute certain community development project activities
for the revitalization of the central business district and to
close out existing Urban Renewal Projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council
of the City of South Bend as follows:
Section I. The sum of $935,000 is hereby appropriated
for the program year starting July 7, 1976, from the South Bend
Community Development Block Grant Program. This appropriation is
to be administered by the Department of Redevelopment.
