AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $42,434 FROM THE
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FUND, FOR PREVENTIVE
CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS COSTS, TO BE
ADMINISTERED BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH
ITS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS.
WHEREAS, the Department of Human Resources in the
name of the City of South Bend has received the approval of
the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development
to execute certain community development project activities to
preserve and protect our neighborhoods through structural
inspections and related blighting environmental influences.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council
of the City of South Bend as follows:
Section I. The sum of $42,434 is hereby appropriated
for the program year starting July 7, 1976, from the South Bend
Community Development Block Grant Program. This appropriation is
to be administered by the Bureau of Environmental Protection.
