(0O k 2 - 7 % AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4990 -68, AS AMENDED, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA (Chapter 40, Municipal Code). BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: Section 1: Ordinance No. 4990 -68, as amended, which ordinance is com- monly known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of South Bend, Indiana, be and the same hereby is amended in order that the zoning classification of the following described real estate in the City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, State of Indiana: Part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 25, Township 37 North, Range 2 East, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the East line of said Southeast Quarter of Section 25, 556.45 feet South of the Northeast corner thereof; thence continu- ing South on said East line (being also the centerline of Miami Highway) a distance of 173.70 feet; thence west a distance of 420.00 feet to a point; thence North a distance of 173.73 feet to a point; thence East a distance of 420.00 feet to the point of beginnin4; said real estate containing approximately 1.675 acres, subject to legal highways. be and the same hereby is established as "C" Commercial Use District and an "A" Height and Area District. CAREFULLY BEFORE COMPLETING I (We), the undersigned, do hereby respectfully make application and petition the CITY OF SOUTH BEND INDIANA to amend the Zoning Ordinance of the Cit of South Bend, Indiana—, as hereinafter requested, and in support of this apply_ cation, the following facts are shown: 1. The property sought to be rezoned is located at the West side of Miami Road, beginning 556.45 feet South of the intersection of Miami and Ireland Roads, running thence South 173.73 feet and being 420.00 feet in depth. 2. The property is owned by Robert's Cleaning Centers, Inc., an Indiana corporation having its principal offices in South Bend, Indiana 3. It is proposed that the property will be put to the following use and the following building (s) will be constructed (include number of dwelling units if residential) A one -story building containing a self - service laundromat of approximately 7,320 square feet and an automobile washing and cleaning establishment of approximately 1,340 square feet is presently located on said real estate. The laundromat portion Of said building will continue to be operated as a -self- service laundromat containing approximately 53 washing machines.
