AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $ 70, 000.00 FROM
FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT COMMONLY REFERRED
TO AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING, FOR VARIOUS
FIRE EQUIPMENT, TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE CITY
OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH ITS BUREAU OF FIRE
SAFETY.
WHEREAS, additional funds are needed by the Bureau of Fire Protection
to insure the Department's ability to properly perform its function during the
year of 1976.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the
City of South Bend as follows:
SECTION 1. That the sum of $70, 000.00 is hereby appropriated for the
year of T9776 from the Federal Assistance Grant Fund, commonly known as the
General Revenue Sharing Fund. This appropriation is to be administered by
the Bureau of Fire Protection and will be distributed as set forth below:
Program FA 106 "Fire Equipment"
Account Description Amount
Properties 722.0 Motor Equipment 70, 000.00
TOTAL FA 106 70, 000.00
SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage by the Common Council, approval by the Mayor, and the fulfillment of
all statutory requirements for emergency appropriations.
