GAMMON Approved and signed by me � M� cj� 1 „ 19 = Clerk ORDINANCE NO. 6l.2f_77 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $221,000.00 FROM THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT COMMONLY RE- FERRED TO AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING, FOR CODE ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM, TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH THE DE- PARTMENT.OF HUMAN RESOURCES. WHEREAS, additional funds are needed by the Department of Human Resources to ensure the Department's ability to properly perform its function during 1977. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend as follows: SECTION I. That the sum of $221,000.00 is hereby appro- priated-for-the year 1977 from the Federal Assistance Grant Fund commonly known as the General Revenue Sharing Fund. This appropriation is to be administered by the Department of Human Resources and will be distributed as set forth below: Account 630.0 PROGRAM FA 125 Description Grants & Subsidies Total FA 125 SECTION II. NEMETH, Mayor COUNTY -CITY BUILDING SOUTH BEND, INDIANA 46601 o13\_UT10* LU 2 Z a /NDIMAN 219/284 -9742 February 9, 1977 Members of the Common Council Council Chambers, 4th Floor County City Building South Bend, Indiana Dear Council Members: This appropriation is to provide funds for the City's share of the E -3 and E -5 Code Enforcement Programs. The $221,000 addressed in this ordinance is to pro- vide repayment to the Redevelopment Revolving Fund for the cost overrun on these projects. This re- payment is based on the final audit report on these projects, dated June 26, 1974. In this audit report it was indicated that $221,000 of other project funds was used in completing these projects, and this money would have to be repaid with local funds in order to permit completion of the other projects. Redevelopment is approaching final completion on the R -66 project, and this money will be required to complete final relocation payments for the R -66 project close -out. Sincere PeteV A.
