ORDINANCE NO. 6113 -17
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE
BUREAU OF WATER OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA, AND BADGER METER, INC., MILWAUKEE,
WISCONSIN, FOR THE PURCHASE OF 6,000 5/8 -INCH
WATER METERS IN THE AMOUNT OF $187,260.00.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
SECTION I. That the Contract entered into between the Bureau of Water
of the City of South Bend, Indiana, and Badger Meter, Inc., Milwaukee,
Wisconsin, on the 4th day of January, 1977, for the purchase of 6,000
5/8 -inch water meters, pursuant to advertising and receipt of bids as
the purchase of same is required in the operation of the Bureau of Water,
for a total cost not to exceed $187,260.00, is hereby approved and
confirmed.
SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor.

The Bureau of Water is presenting an Ordinance to the Common
Council which will approve one Contract for the purchase of 6,000 5/8 -inch
water meters.
Bids were let pursuant to the Statutes of the State of Indiana
and were found competitive. The Contract was awarded to Badger Meter, Inc.
of Milwaukee, Wisconsin by the Board of Water Works Commissioners on the 4th
day of January, 1977, as being the lowest and best bid. Total net amount of
the purchase is $187,260.00.
