AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $2,000.00 FROM
THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT GRANT FUND, FOR
LA SALLE PARK, TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH ITS DEPARTMENT
OF PUBLIC PARKS.
WHEREAS, additional funds are needed by the Department of Public
Parks to administer certain public parks programs and to insure the de-
partment's ability to properly perform its functions during the year 1976.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City
of South Bend as follows:
Section I. The sum of $2,000.00 is hereby appropriated for the year
1976 from the Community Development Grant Fund. This appropriation is to be
administered by the Department of Public Parks and will be distributed as set
forth below:

LASALLE PARK

260.0 Fencing of softball field $2,000.00
Section II, This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage by the Common Council, approval by the Mayor, and the ful-
fillment of all statutory requirements for emergency appropriation.

Dear Mr. Parent:
The Department of Parks is requesting the Common Council to
approve the enclosed ordinance, in the amount of $2,000.00,
to fence in the softball field at La Salle Park.
The residents in the La Salle Park area have made requests
for the last several years that the softball field at La Salle
Park be fence in. At the public hearing, at Harrison School,
regarding the use of Community Development Funds, persons in
attendance requested that the fence item be funded by Community
Development Funds.
