ORDINANCE NO. 6060 -76
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $39,017.00 FROM THE
FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT COMMONLY REFERRED TO
AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING, FOR ESTABLISHING THE
DISCOVERY HALL PORTION OF CENTURY CENTER, TO BE
ADMINISTERED BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH
THE DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATION AND FINANCE.
WHEREAS, additional funds are needed by the Department of
Administration and Finance to insure this Department's ability
to properly perform its functions during the year 1977.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That the sum of $39,017.00 is hereby appro-
priated for the year of 1977 from the Federal
Assistance Grant Fund, commonly known as the
General Revenue Sharing Fund. This appro-
priation is to be administered by the Depart-
ment of Administration and Finance, and will
be distributed as set forth below:

There will be presented for your consideration on September 27, an ordinance
appropriating monies from Revenue Sharing Fund to supply operating and
development monies to be used in the opening of Discovery Hall.
As I stated in the letter attached to Ordinance FA -114, it is essential that we have
funds to develop Discovery Hall prior to its 1978 opening. I think we all want
Century Center to be successful, and prior planning and development is one
way to assure this.
