AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE BUREAU
OF WATER OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AND
MICHIANA FENCE, INC., SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF A FENCE AT THE SOUTH BEND BUREAU OF
WATER WORKS` NORTH PUMPING STATION IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT
OF $2,945.00.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
To approve a Contract for the construction of a fence to be located in
the rear of the South Bend Water Works' North Pumping Station at 830 North
Michigan Street, South Bend, Indiana.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That the Contract entered into between the Bureau of Water
of the City of South Bend, Indiana, and Michiana Fence, Inc., South Bend,
Indiana, on the 1st day of August, 1977, pursuant to receipt of quotations,
as the purchase of same is required to prevent vandalism at the Water Works'
North Pumping Station, in a total quantity and a total cost not to exceed
$2,945.00.
SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor.

The Bureau of Water is presenting an Ordinance to the Common Council
to approve a Contract for the construction of a fence to be located in the rear of
the South Bend Water Works' North Pumping Station at 830 North Michigan Street,
South Bend, Indiana.
Quotations were received from the following companies:
Michiana Fence, Inc. - $2,945.00
South Bend, Indiana
Calho Fence Co., Inc. - $3,325.00
South Bend, Indiana
U.S. Steel Supply (Cyclone Fence) - $3,331.00
South Bend, Indiana
Project Fence Company, Inc. - $4,025.00
South Bend, Indiana
The Contract was awarded to Michiana Fence, Inc., South Bend, Indiana,
by the Board of Water Works Commissioners on the 1st day of August, 1977. The total
amount of this purchase is $2,945.00.
