AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $5,000 FROM THE
ANTI- RECESSION FUND, COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS
COUNTER - CYCLICAL GRANT, FOR VARIOUS ADMINI-
STRATION PROGRAMS TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, THROUGH ITS DEPARTMENT
OF ADMINISTRATION AND FINANCE.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
Additional funds are needed to administer certain programs
and to ensure the city's ability to properly perform its functions
during the year 1977.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The sum of $5,000.00 is hereby appropriated for the
year 1977 from the Anti- Recession Fund, commonly known as the Counter -
Cyclical Grant. This appropriation is to be administered by the Depart-
ment of Administration and Finance and will be distributed as set forth
below:

There will be presented for your consideration on August 8,
an ordinance appropriating $5,000.00 from the Anti - Recessional
Fund. This appropriation is to cover the salary for the
Merit Board Coordinator (John Cimino) for the final four
months of 1977. The present contract for this salary, being
paid out of Criminal Justice Funds, expires at the end of
August 1977. The salary for this position is included in
the 1978 Budget for the coming year.
