AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $300.00 TO
ACCOUNT 230.0 INSTRUCTION, AND $350.00
TO ACCOUNT 726.0 OTHER EQUIPMENT AND
TRAINING. BOTH ACCOUNTS BEING IN THE
SAVE -A -LIFE FUND OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
AND TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE FIRE DEPART-
MENT.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
Additional funds are needed for the purpose of training
and re- equiping the paramedic personnel of the Fire Department
during the year 1977.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The sum of $300.00 is hereby appropriated
to Account 230.0 Instruction, and $350.00 is hereby appropriated
to Account 726.0 Other Equipment, both accounts being in the
Save -A -Life Fund of the City of South Bend. These appro-
priations will be administered by the Fire Department.
SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the Common Council and
approval by the Mayor.

There will be presented for first reading on October 10,
an ordinance appropriating $650.00 within the Save -A -Life
Fund. These monies will be used to buy needed paramedic
equipment, and to send one of the paramedics to a training
course we feel is needed.
Originally these monies were intended for the placement
of a cab and chassis on one of the ambulances during
1978. This is still our intention, however, we feel
this request should be paid from these funds. There are
sufficient dollars to handle both requests.
