Dear Mr. Parent:
219/284 -9409
On July 11, 1977, there will be submitted for the Council's consider-
ation an ordinance appropriating $7,500.00 from the 1977 CDBG fund for the
purchase and installation of fire alarm and safety protection devices for
Tippecanoe Place.
The protection system will consist of emergency lights and exit signs
as required by the Fire Marshall. In addition, a smoke and ionization
detector and fire alarm system will be installed.
Great care will be taken to conceal as much of the wiring as possible,
and the exposed work will be blended with existing building trim to maintain
and protect previous restoration work.
The installation of the above devices will protect a nationally recog-
nized historic structure and, more importantly, protect the individuals and
groups which utilize Tippecanoe Place. Your favorable consideration is
requested.
If you have any questions or require additional information, please call
Mr. Bob Huff of the Community Development staff (284- 9335).
Sincerely,
Vi ee
