AN ORDINANCE FIXING MAXIMUM SALARIES AND WAGES
OF APPOINTED OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY
OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, WITHIN THE DIVISION OF
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FOR THE YEAR FROM JULY 1,
1977 TO JUNE 30, 1978.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA:
SECTION I. That effective July 1, 1977 to June 30, 1978, the
maximum salaries and wages for the following officers of South Bend,
Indiana, shall be:

Attached is an ordinance fixing maximum salaries and wages
from July 1, 1977 to June 30, 1978 for various employees of
the City of South Bend that will be paid through Community
Development funds.
As you will note, the annual proposed salaries reflect a
six percent increase over 1977, with the minimum established
increase of $645.00.
Your approval of this ordinance is requested.

to whom was referred A BILL fixing maximum salaries and wages of appointed
officers and employees of the city of South Bend,
Indiana, within the division of Community Development
for the year from July 1, 1977, to June 30, 1978.
Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this bill be recommended
to the Council favorable, as amended:
Salaries
I. Deputy Director from $16,430 to $16,350
Controller from $3,180 to $3,000
Engineer from $2,120 to $2,000
II. Chief Planner from $16,341 to $16,266
III. Fiscal officer from $15,211 to $15,200
V. Director from $16,960 to $16,850
