As the Council has requested, we have given a larger per- centage of increase to the average city worker, with a lower percentage scale to the higher salaried worker. As with the Teamsters in their negotiations and their per- centage rate which ranges from 5.83 percent to 8 percent, we have followed the same guidelines. We have given all existing positions a six percent increase across the board with the minimum increase of $645.00. Your consideration and approval of this ordinance is requested. Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this bill be recommended to the council favorable, as amended: Page 1, II. Department of Law add Hearing Officer - $13,780; III. Century Center - Discovery Hall Dir /Curator (remove Curator) change salary to present $16,000 - annual proposed $16,960; IV. Bureau of Manpower Adm., change assistant field director to supportive service coordinator, add program review specialist at a salary of $12,402 and personnel specialist at a salary of $12,702, change outreach worker II to client service Aide II and outreach worker I to client service aide I, add the position of job coach II at a salary of $10,911. Page 2 Parks, change assistant superintendent of business to fiscal officer, and change proposed salary to $150,388. Page 3. Building and Permits eliminate-sub- standard office manager and chief inspector. Page 7, General Classification, change auditor III salary to minimum $11,661 - maximum $12,949, and auditor II salary maximum to $11,677 (these changes were made at the June 27, 1977 Council meeting). At the July 18, 1977 meeting of the Council the following amendments were made: Amend city attorney's salary to $13,242, chief deputy city attorney to $10,425, deputy city attorney to $7,425, hearing officer to $13,425, legal intern III to $4.52 an hour, legal intern II to $4.02 an hour and Legal intern I to $3.52 an hour. Change controller's salary to $17,000, director of personnel to $14,831, asst. director of personnel to $12,550 and *change title to assistant director of personnel and safety coordinator, chief deputy controller to $18,350, fiscal officer to $15,320.
