(1 $ I ;t - 2g AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $28,765.00 FROM THE SEWAGE WORKS DEPRECIATION FUND TO ACCOUNT 726.0 OTHER EQUIPMENT WITHIN SAID FUND TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE DIVISION OF UTILITIES OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT Whereas funds were orginally allocated by the Community Development Program in 1975 for the purchase of equipment to inspect the Bellville sewer system, and now have been disallowed in an audit of that program, these funds must be repaid to the Community Development program by the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The sum of $28,765.00 is hereby appropriated for the year 1978, from the Sewage Works Depreciation Fund of the City of South Bend, Indiana. This appropriation is to be administered by the Division of Utilities and will be distributed as set forth below: FUND ACCOUNT 39 726.0 DESCRIPTION Other Equipment f_�u`��f� 1�■ 28,765.00 Total this appropriation $28,765.00 SECTION II. This ordinance shall be iii full force and effect from and after its passage by the Council, approval by the Mayor, and fulfillment of all statutory requirements for emergency appropriations. The truck aided _-in the study of sewer conditions and the repair of sewer lines. According to Section 570.201 (b) of the Block Grant regulations the purchase of any equipment to do the Sewer Repair/ Engineering Study is ineligible for Community Develpment funding. Therefore, we are filing this ordinance for additional appropria- tions to reimburse Community Developement for the cost of the vehicle and equipment. Sincerely yours, Gls✓1 John F..
