( 3 t j AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $2,899.50 FROM THE DISCOVERY HALL FUND OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FOR VARIOUS CONSULTING SERVICES TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF AD- MINISTRATION AND FINANCE. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: Whereas the City applied for and received a planning grant for Discovery Hall from the National Endowment for the Humanities, the City would now like to expand these funds for consultant work performed at Discovery Hall. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The sum of $2,899.50 is hereby appropriated for the year 1978 from the Discovery Hall Fund of the City-,of South, Indiana. This appropriation is to be administered by the Department of Administration and Finance and will be distributed as set forth below: ACCOUNT DESCRIPTION AMOUNT 0260.0 Contractual Services $2,899.50 SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council, approval by the Mayor, and fulfillment of all statutory requirements. 'rCeOYED. INDIANA 46601 Members of the South Bend Common Council City of South Bend, Indiana Dear Councilmen: 219/284 -9742 There will be presented to you on January 23, 1978 the first reading of an ordinance appropriating $2,899.50 from the Discovery Hall Fund of the City of South Bend for contractual services used by Discovery Hall. This appropriation represents a grant received by Discovery Hall from the National Endowment for the Humanities to plan and develop exhibits at Discovery Hall. At this point, the monies have been received, and some priliminary work has been done by the Consultant. It is our feeling that it would now be necessary to make a partial payment to the Consultant so that work may continue. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact my office.
