AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $290,000.00 FROM
THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT, COMMONLY KNOWN
AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING, FOR THE OPERATION
OF CENTURY CENTER, TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, THROUGH THE CENTURY CENTER
BOARD OF MANAGERS.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE OF INTENT:
Additional funds are needed by the Century Center
Board of Managers to ensure Century Center's ability
to perform its functions during the year 1978.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The sum of $290,000.00 is hereby appropriated
for the year 1978 from the Federal Assistance Grant Fund commonly
known as the General Revenue Sharing Trust Fund. This appropriation
is to be administered by the Century Center Board of Managers and
will be distributed as set forth below:

SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the Common Council, approval
by the Mayor and the fulfillment of all statutory requirements for

Attached is an Ordinance for your consideration at the
first meeting in 1978.
It is a Revenue Sharing Ordinance for $290,000.00 that
will be used to pay the utility bill at Century Center
for the year of 1978. This estimate of $290,000.00 has
been supplied to us by the utility companies who have
been involved with the building.
Your approval of this ordinance will be appreciated.
