Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City oS. o th Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee.of the Whole in the
Council Chambers, Monday, June 10, 1957, at 8:17 P.--,, wilV all members present. Councilman Carr, Chairman, presided.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FROM THE GENERAL FUND $306.66 TO OFFICE OF CITY JUDGE,
ACCOUNT E 212, POSTAGE, ALL OF THE BUDGET FOR THE CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA,
AND DECLARING AN EXTRAORDINARY EMERGENCY
City Attorney Irving J. Smith read a letter supporting the above Ordinance from Judge Olczak. The Judge was unable
to attend due to a Naval Reserve Training Commitment. Proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard
on the Ordinance. Miss Guthrie of the South Bend Civic Planning Association spoke against the Ordinance.
Councilman Erler made a motion that the Ordinance be referred to the Ways and Means Committee for further study.
Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried.
There being no further business before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Korpal made a motion to adjourn. Coun-
cilman Kroll seconded the motion. Motion carried and the Committee of the Whole meeting adjourned at 8:25 P.M.,
