Report of the Committee on Minutes:
To the Common Council of the City of South Bend;
,Your Committee on the inspection and supervision of the minutes, would respectfully report that they have inspected
.the minutes of the previous meeting of the Council and found them correct. They, therefore, recommend that the same
be approved.

Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Kroll seconded the
motion. Motion carried,

Your Committe6 of the Whole to whom was referred An Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 3702 Commonly Known as the Zoning;
Ordinance of the City of South Bend, Indiana, ( American Shopping Centers, Inc., Part of the Wk of the NEk of Sec. 8
Twp. 37 N, "R 3.East), Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion it should be
reported as favorable.

Councilman Kroll made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Muszynski seconded the
motion. Motion carried.

Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred An Ordinance to Rezone Lot 5 on the Plat of Burrough's Subdivision
From B Residential to C Commercial-- Drinski, Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their
opinion it should be reported as favorable.

Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Kroll seconded the
mot, *on. Motion.cairried.

Your Committee:of the Whole to whom as referred an Ordinance to rezone a tract of land located on the South Side of
Lincolnway West, Wept of Iowa Stteet, from B Residential to C commercial and E Height and Area District- -Hen and
,Rose Medow., Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion it should be reported
as Stricken from the Record.

.way West between Knoblock Street and Sheridan Ave., from B Residential to C Commercial use District - -K and W. Weist.,
Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion it should be reported as stricken
from Record.

way West between Falcon and Kenmore Streets, from A Residential to C Commercial -- Millard Hartman, Respectfully report
that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion it should be reported as stricken from'the record.

Councilman Carr made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Kroll seconded the motion.

REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE

Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred An Ordinance Annexing lands to and Declaring Same to be a Part of the
City of South Bend, Indiana, (South of the present City Limits line, East of Michigan Street and North of Walter
Street, constituting a part of Pierre Navarre Park, and 2.7 acres of privately owned property), Respectfully report
that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion it should be reported as favorable.

Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Carr seconded the motion.
Motion carried.
ORDINANCE NO. 4127
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH BEND, INDIANA (American Shopping Centers, Inc.)
The Ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 5 ayes, Councilmen Korpal, Carr, Tellson,
Kroll and Muszynski; and 4 nays, Councilmen Christman, Glass, Hahn and Erler.
Motion by Councilman Muszynski, seconded by Councilman Kroll, for a 5 minute recess. Motion carried.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING,ORDINANCE OF THE CITY
OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA (Real Estate involved located on William Street, Navarre Street and
Portage Avenue)
The Ordinance was given third reading and lost by a roll call vote of 5 ayes, Councilmen Korpal, Carr, Tellson, Kroll
and Muszynski; and 4 nays, Councilmen Christman Christman, Glass, Hahn and Erler.

ORDINANCE 4128 ANNEXING LANDS TO'AND DECLARING SAME TO BE A PART OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
BEND, INDIANA (Pierre Navarre Park)
The Ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes, 0 nays.

AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FROM THE GENERAL FUND $2,175.00 TO POLICE DEPARTMENT ACCOUNT P- 331 -- Gasoline,
$2,000.00, AND TO OFFICE OF THE CITY JUDGE ACCOUNT E- 216 -A, Transportation Allowance - Bailiff, $50.00,
AND TO OFFICE OF CITY JUDGE ACCOUNT E -216 -B TransportationtAllowance - Probation Officer, $125.00, ALL OF
THE BUDGET FOR THE CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FOR 1956, AND DECLARING NN EXTRAORDINARY EMERGENCY.
The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Hahn made a motion that the
Ordinance be set for public. hearing on November 26th, 1956. Councilman Carr seconded the motion. Motion carried.
There being no further business before the Common Council, Councilman Hahn made a motion to adjourn. Councilman
Christman seconded the motion. Motion carried and the Special meeting of the Common Council of the City of South
Bend, Indiana, adjourned at 10:33 P:M.
