SPECIAL MEETING
NOVEMBER 8, 1956
Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in Special Session in the Council
Chamber on Thursday, November 8, 1956, at 8 :09 P.M., C.S.T., with all members present.
CALL FOR A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COM21ON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA
We, the undersigned members of the Common Council, hereby call a Special meeting of the Common Council of the City of
South Bend, Indiana, to convene at the Council Chamber at the City Hall at 8 :00 P.M., C.S.T., on the 8 th day of Novemw,
ber, 1956, for the purpose of considering the following:

11. Public Hearing on Petition of American Shopping Centers, Inc., to rezone a parcel of land containing 35 acres in
the W4 of the NW-14 of S8 -T37N, R3E from "A" Residential to "C -2" Planned Shopping Center.
#2. Public Hearing on an Ordinance to rezone Lot 5 on Plat of Burrough's Sub, from B Residential to C Commercial-- -
Drinski.
#3. Public Hearing on an Ordinance to rezone a tract of land located on the South side of Lincolnway ["Test, West of Iowa
Street, from B Residential to C Commercial and E Height and Area Dist. - -Ben and Rose Medow.
��4. Public Hearing on an Ordinance to rezone a tract of land on the South Side of Lincolnway West between Knoblock and
Sheridan,, from B Residential to C Commercial -- K and W Weist
#5. Public Hearing on an Ordinance to rezone a tract of land on the South Side of Lincolnway West between Falcon and
Kenmore Streets from'A Residential to C Commercial -- M. Hartman.
#6, Public Hearing on Petition to annex land to the City of South Bend, Ind., 15.35 acres constituting a part of
Pierre Navarre Park, and 2.7 acres of privately owned property.

Councilman Kroll made a motion that the Special Call be accepted and placed on file, Councilman Erler seconded the
motion. Motion carried,

Public Hearing on an Ordinance Annexing Lands to and declaring same to be a Part of the City of South Bend, Indiana
(Pierre Navarre Park)
Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Kroll seconded the
Motion. Motion carried.
There being no further business before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Korpal made a motion to adjourn.
Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried and the Committee of the Whole meeting adjourned at 10:08 P.M.
