Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, met in the Committee of the Whole meeting
in the Council Chamber, Tuesday, February 14th, 1956, at 8:00 P.M., with all members present except Councilman
Rahn. Chairman Carr presided.
ORDINANCE
An Ordinance Amending Ordinance No. 3072, Commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of South Bend,
Indiana. (A part of the West k of the Northeast k, Section 8, Township 37 North, Range 3 East, now within and
a part of the City of South Bend) - -to rezone from "A" Residence District and "A" Height and Area District
to "C -2" Planned Shopping Center District.
Proponents and opponents, and their Attorneys, were given an opportunity to be heard on the above ordinance.
Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the Ordinance,go,to the Council as favorable. Motion seconded by
Councilman Kroll. Roll call vote of 4 ayes, Councilmen Korpal, Carr, Kroll and Muszynski; 4 nays, Councilmen
Tellson, Christman, Glass and Erler. Councilman Hahn was not present.. Motion Lost.
ORDINANCE NO. 4071
An Ordinance amending Ordinance Number 3072, Commonly known as Zoning Ordinance of the City of South Bend,
Indiana. ( Lots. 191 - 196, inclusive, Berner Grove Addition - -on Mishawaka Avenue between 28th and 29th
Streets).
Councilman Korpal made a motion that the Ordinance be reported to the Council as favorable. Councilman Glass
seconded the motion. Motion passed by a roll call vote of 8 ayes, no nays, one member, Councilman Hahn absent.
There being no further business before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Korpal made a motion to adjourn.
Seconded by-Councilman Muszynski. Motion carried and meeting adjourned at 10:10 P.M.
