Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend met in the Committee of the Whole meeting
in the Council Chamber, Moncay, August 22nd, 1955, at 8:10 P.M. (E.S.T.), with all members present. Chairman
Hahn presided.
ORDINANCE NO. 4059 (AS AMENDED)
"An Ordinance transferring and appropriating from Street and Traffic Fund, Street Department S -724 Motor Equip-
ment $12,000.00 to Street Department S -43 Materials (Street and Alley) $12,000.00; from General Fund, Sewer
Department, Services Contractual J -262 Repairs to Sewer Replacement $2,250.00 to Office of Controller Services
Contractual B -262 Other Contractual Services $2,250.00, all of the budget for the Civil City of South Bend,
Indiana for 1955 and declaring an extraordinary emergency ".
Mr. Frank Wallace, Indiana State Division of Entomologist, appeared before the Council and stated that the
anti - bettle campaign would be conducted by his division with federal aid.
Councilman Glass made a motion that the ordinance be reported to the Council as favorable. Councilman Niezgodski
seconded the motion. Motion carried.
There being no further business before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Korpal made a motion to adjourn,
which motion was seconded by Councilman Bestle. Motion carried, and the Committee of the Whole meeting adjourned
at 8:20 P.M.
