Nance as "Honorary Citizen of the City of South Bend ". vv(zr)T TrrTOIT WHEREAS: The merger of the Studebaker and Packard organizations has opened a new era in the industrial life in this community and WHEREAS: Mr. James J. Nance has been named president of the new corporation and WHEREAS: Mr. Nance has expressed his faith in the future of South Bend by word and deed, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the Civil.City of South Bend, Indiana that on Thursday, October 7, 1954 Mr. James J. Nance be named "Honorary Citizen of the City of South Bend" and that the Mayor be requested to present this award to Mr. Nance and to provide him with a suitable momento of the occasion. MUSZYNSKI Members of the Common Council Councilman Muszynski moved for the adoption of the Resolution. Councilman Glass seconded the motion.
