SPECIAL MEETING
SEP NRE 20TH, 1954
A special meeting is hereby called of the Common Council of the City of South Bend to be held this date in the
Council Chamber, City Hall, at 10 :40 P.M. to consider a Resolution concerning liquidation of the Kemble Avenue
Housing Project.

The Special Call was read by the clerk*
Councilman Bestle moved that the call be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion.
Motion carried.
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Kemble Avenue Project (Indiana 15 -1) is not to be used for public housing,
BE IT, THEREFORE, RESOLVED: That The Housing Authority of the City of South Bend, Indiana and The Public Housing
Administration of the United Status be requested to proceed without delay to liquidate said Project by public
sale in accordance with the provisions of The Housing Act of 1954 (Public Law 560) passed by the Second Session
of the, Eighty -Third Congress of the United States,
The City Clerk of South Bend is directed to send a copy of this Resolution to The Housing Authority of the City
of South Bend and to The Public Housing Administration of the United States*

Councilman Muszynski moved for the adoption of the Resolution. Councilman Glass seconded the motion. Motion
carried by a roll call vote of 7 a es (Councilmen Erler, Korpal, Pinter, Bestle, Niezgodski, Glass and Muszynski)-
0 nays - 1 absent (Councilman Hahn•
There being no further business before the Council, the Special Meeting adjourned at 10:50 P•M.
