II COMMITTER OF TEES WHOLE MEETING SEPTEMBER 28TH, 1953
Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend met in the Committee of the Whole meeting in
the Council Chamber, Monday, September 28th, 1953, at 8 :06 P.M., with all members present. Chairman Hahn. presid
ORDINANCE N0. 3940
"An Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 3702 commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance".
Councilman Korpal made a motion that the ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Bestle seconded
the motion. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE N0. 3941
"An Ordinance transferring fonds from P -11 Police Salary 1800.00 to P -124 Motor Equipment $800.00; from S -11
Street Department Salary 32200.00 to S -12 'Hourly Workers 2200.00; from J -12 Sewer Department Salary $6000000 to
J-13 Sewer Department Overtime $2000.00 and to 8 -13 Street 'Department Overtime '$4000.00; from J -724 Sewer Depart-
ment Motor Equipment $2300oOO to S -214 Street Department Telephone $300.00 and S -321 Street Department 'Coal and
Fuel Oil $2000.00; all of the budget for 1953 of the 'Civil City of South Bend, Indiana%
Councilman Bestle made a motion that the ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Glass seconded
the motion. Motion carried.
There being no further business before the Committee of the 'Whole, Councilman Bestle made a motion to adjourn,
which motion was seconded by Councilman Niesgodski. Motion carried, and the Committee of the Whole meeting
adjourned at 8 :08 P.M.
