JUNE 8TH, 1953
Be it remembered that the Common Couneil,of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the whole
meeting in the Council Chamber, Monday, June 8th, 1953, at 8:09 P.M., with all members present* Chairman Hahn
presided.
ORDINANCE NO. 3927
"An Ordinance of the City of South Bend, Indiana, appropriating the, sum of One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($1509000900) to be applied on the cost of acquisition of land and equipment necessary for the collection and
disposal by said City of garbage in said City, and expenses incurred in connection therewith ".
Councilman Niezgodski made a motion that the ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Glass seconded
the motion. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE NO. 3929
"An Ordinance transferring funds from Q -11, Services Personal, Fire Department, to Q -724, Motor Equipment, Fire
Department, in the amount of $16,700.00, an emergency appropriation of $3,200.00 from General Street and Traffic
Fund to 5 -251, Repairs of Buildings and Structures, Street :Department, of the budget of 1953 of the Civil City
of South Bend, Indiana ".
Councilman Glass made a motion that the ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Bestle seconded the
motion. Motion parried.
There being no further business before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Bestle made a, motion to adjourn,
which motion was seconded by Councilman Korpal. Motion carried, and the Committee of the whole meeting adjourned
at 8x12 P.M.
