Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the Whole
meeting in the Council Chamber, Monday, April 28th, 1952, at 7:48 P.M., with all members present except
Councilmen Pinter. Chairman Mahn presided.
ORDINANCE NO. 3867
"An Ordinance reducing certain items in the 1952 budget for the Fire Department of the (Civil City of South Bend,
Indiana, in the amount of $20,000.00 and for the Cemetery Department in the amount of $500.00 and appropriating
from the General Fund of said City to the 1952 budget for said departments in said amounts and declaring an
extraordinary emergency ".
Councilman Glass made a motion that the ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Erler seconded
the motion. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE NO. 3868
"An Ordinance appropriating all Parking Meter Fees and Funds to the Board of Public Works and Safety of the
Civil City of South Bend, Indiana, for the uses and purposes set forth therein in accordance with Chapter 236
of the Acts of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana of 1945, as amended by Chapter 303 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of 1951 ".
Councilman Niezgodski made a motion that the ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Bestle
seconded the motion. Motion carried.
There being no further business, Councilman Korpal made a motion to adjourn, which motion was seconded by
Councilman Bestle. Motion carried,.and Council adjourned at 7:58 P.M.
