COMMUNICATION
Honorable Common Council
City of South Bend, Indiana
Gentlement
May 220 1950
The South Bend Civic Planning Association Inc. whose membership is composed of home owners, urge that South
Bend adhere to the traditional policy of private home ownership upon which our community has grown and developed.
We therefore recommend the return to the tax rolls of the Kemble Avenue tract and Maggie's Court area through
pub lio sale to private purchasers. This would permit the development of these properties for housing units for
rental or sale, or whatever use is best suited to their environment.
Respectfully,
SOUTH BEND CIVIC PLANNING ASSN. INC.
(Signed) M. V. Guthrie
Executive Secretary
