Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the Whole
meeting in the Council Chamber, Monday, April 24th, 1950, at 8:06 P.M. with all members present. Chairman
Korpal presided.
ORDINANCE NO. 3741
An Ordinance of the City of South Bend; Indiana, appropriating the sum of One Million Dollars ($1,000,000.00)
to be applied on the cost of construction and improvement of sewers, and expenses incurred in connection there-
with.
Councilman Tellson made a motion that the ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Muszynski
seconded the motion. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE N0. 3743
An Ordinance providing for the establishment of a bureau of fire prevention, providing officers therefor and
defining their powers and duties, prescribing regulations.for fire prevention and life safety, and prescribing
penalties for the violation of its provis ions .
Councilman Niezgodski made a motion that the ordinance go to the Council as.`favorable. Councilman Erler made
an amendment to the motion that the ordinance go to the Council favorable as amended. Councilman Muszynski
seconded the motion. Motion carried.
There being no further business, Councilman Tellson made a motion to adjourn, which motion was seconded by
Councilman,Mus`zynski. Motion carried, and the Committee of the Whole meeting adjourned at 8:23 P.M.
