JUNE 13TH, 1949
Be it remembered that the Common Council of the Zty of South Bend, Indiana, met in regular session in the
Council Chamber, June 13th, 1949, at 9:45 PeM* with all members present. President Erler presided at the
meeting. The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was waived.

The South Bend Mishawaka Board of Realtors passed the following resolution at their regularly scheduled
Friday June 10th meetings
"Be it resolved that the City Council hold the proposed new city zoning ordinance in abeyance until such time
as the zoning maps of the city are prepared ".
Due to the fact that a 1aadical change in use is contemplated the Board believes that this procedure will best
serve the citizens.

Councilman Niezgodski made a motion that the communication be accepted and placed on file. Councilman
Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Councilman Niezgodski made a motion that the petition be referred to the City Plan Commission. Councilman
Glass seconded the motion. Motion carried.

$55.00 FROM ACCOUNT NO. R•333, TIRES AND TUBES, DEPARTMENT OF WEIGHTS
AND MEASURES; AND ALSO'THE SUM OF $50,00 FROM ACCOUVf NO, R -334, OTHER
GARAGE AND MOTOR SUPPLIES, DEPARTMENT OF WEIGHTS AND MEASURES, TO
ACCOUNT NO. R -251, REPAIRS OF CITY SCALES, DEPARTMENT OF WEIGHTS AND
MEASURES, AND DECLARING AN EXTRAORDINARY EMERGENCY.
The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Tellson made a motion
that the ordinance be referred to the Committee of the Whole for Public Hearing on June 27th, 19490 at.800
P.M. Councilman Korpal seconded the motion. Motion carried.
MOT IONS
Upon motion of Councilman Kemper, seconded by Councilman Korpal, the mi tantee of the May 23rd meeting be e
to read *that the zoning ordinance was given first reading by title only and not second reading in full'.
Motion carried.
Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the Streets and Alleys Committee contact proper officials in charge of
maintenance for the painting of viaduct separations. Councilman Tellson seconded the motion. Motion carried.
There being no farther business, Council adjourned at 11 :00 P.M.
