REGULAR MEETING
APRIL 25TH. 1949
Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in regular session in the
Council Chamber, April 25th, 19490 at 8:15 P.M. with all members present. President Erler presided at the
meeting. The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was waived.
REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE
To the Common Council of the City of South Bend:
April 25, 1949
Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE N0, 2331, AS AMENDED,
WHICH ORDINANCE IS COMMONLY CALLED THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEAD".
Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in.their opinion this ordinance be held over
until the next Committee of the Whole meeting on May 9th:

Councilman Glass made a motion that the report be accepted. Councilman Beetle seconded the motion. Motion
carried.

Councilman Niezgodski made a motion that the report be accepted. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion.
Motion carried.,
ORDINANCE NO. 3695
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND PARAGRAPH TWO (2) OF,SECTION 1
OF ORDINANCE NO. 3630, ADOPTED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, ON MARCH 8, 1948.
The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Niezgodski made a
motion for suspension of rules. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried.
The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 8 ayes- 0 nays.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE IV OF CRDINANCS NO. 3146, BY ADDING
A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS 41- RELATING TO THE PARKING OF CERTAIN
TYPES OF VEHICLES ON THE STREETS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA,
AND PROHIBITING THE PARKING OF SUCH VEHICLES DURING CERTAIN HOURS
AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS.
The ordinance was given f irst reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Niezgodski made a
motion that the ordinance be referred to the Committee of the Whole for Public Hearing on May 9th, 1949,
Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried.
There being no" further business, Council adjourned at 8:55 P.M? on motion of Councilman Glass, seconded by
Councilman Tellson. Motion carried.
