Council Chambers; City Hall, April 28th, 1947, at 7 :30 P.M., with all members present . President Brannan
presided. The reading of the Minutes of the previous meeting was waived.
PETITION
We, the undersigned property owners, petition your honorable body to improve Edison do Ford Street by
construction of a street light.

Councilman McCarthy made a motion that the petition be referred to the Board of Public Works and Safety.
Councilman Niezgodski seconded the motion. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE NO. 3597
AN ORDINANCE ORDERING AND PROVIDING FOR 1HE SALE OF THE
FOLLOWING DESCRIBED REAL ESTATE IN ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, INDIANA,
TO -WIT: LOTS NUMBERED 130, 131, 135, 136, 137 and 138 IN WENGER
AND KREIGHBAUM'S SECOND ADDITION TO THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA,
WHICH SAID REAL'ESTATE IS OWNED BY SAID CITY FOR PAX PURPOSES.
The Ordinance was given first and second reading. Councilman Bishop made a motion for suspension of
rules. Councilman Niezgodski seconded the motion. Motion carried by -a roll call vote of 9 ayes - 0 nays.
The Ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes - 0 nays.
ORDINANCE - 3598
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA,
TO LEASE CERTAIN REAL ESTATE PROPERTY TO THE UNITED STATES
OF AMERICA. (Lot 20 August Beyer's 1st Addn) (Naval Reserve Armory)
The Ordinance was given first and second reading. Councilman McCarthy made a motion for suspension of rules.
Councilman Richardson seconded the motion. Motion`rcarrid.d by a roll call vote of 9 ayes - 0 nays.
The Ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes - 0 nays.
There being no further business Council adjourned at 7 :50 P.M.
