SPECIAL MEETING
Be it remembered that the Common Council of the-City of South Bend, Indiana,-met in Special Session,
in the Council Chambers, City Hall, on Thursday, March 20th, 1947, at 7 P.M., with all members
present except Councilmen McCarthy and Mirocha., President Brannan presided.
SPECIAL CALL
TO THE CLERK, PRESIDENT AND
MEMBERS OF THE COMMON COUNCIL,
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
Gentlemen:
SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
March 19th, 1947.
You are hereby notified that under and'by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the City
of South Bend, in the State of Indiana, a Special Meeting bf the-Common Council of said City is
hereby called to meet at the hour of 7 P.M., on Starch 20th, 1947, in the Council Chambers for the
purpose of acting upon an Ordinance fixing the salaries of certain City Officials and Employees of the
City of South Bend, Indiana, effective January 1, 1948 and repealing all ordinances and parts of
ordinances in conflict therewith.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to forthwith serve a copy of this notice on each and every member
or the Common Council and make due return of such service of said special meeting.

ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE SALARIES OF CERTAIN CITY OFFICIALS
AND EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, EFFECTIVE
JANUARY 1, 1948, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT TEIEREWI TH.
The Ordinance was given first and second reading,. Councilman Heideman made a motion to refer the
Ordinance to the Committee of the Vhole for Public Hearing on the 31st day of March, 1947.
Councilman Niezgodski seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Councilman Richardson made a motion that the next Regular Meeting of the Common Council be held
on March 31st, 1947, at 7 :30 P.M., instead of March 24th,..1947, at 7 :30 P.M. Councilman Korpal
seconded the motion. Motion carried.
There being no further business, Council adjourned at 7 :10 P.M.
