Be it remembered that the members of the Common Council met in Special Session in the Council Chambers,
City Hall, on Monday, April 1st, 1946, at 7 :30 P.M., with all members present except Councilmen Hull and
Brannan. President Korpal presided.

TO THE CITY CLERK, PRESIDENT AND
MEMBERS OF THE COMMON COUNCIL,
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
Gentlemen:
South tend, Indiana.
March 30, 1946
You are hereby notified that under and by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the City of
South Bend, in the State of Indiana, a special meeting of the Common Council of said City is hereby called
to meet at the hour of 7 :30 o'clock P.M., on April 1, 1946, in the Council Chambers in said City for the
purpose of acting upon the following Ordinance of the City known as
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT PROVIDING
FOR THE DEVELOPMENT AND ADMINISTRATION OF AN EMERGENCY HOUSING PROJECT FOR DISTRESSED
FAMILIES OF SERVCEMEN AND FOR VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES, BETWEEN THE CITY OF SOUTH
BEND, INDIANA, AND THE FEDERAL PUBLIC HOUSING AUTHORITY.
The City Clerk it hereby directed to forthwith service a copy of this notice on each and every member of the
Common Council and make due return of such service of said special meeting.

ORDINANCE NO. 3554
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTICN OF AN AGREEMENT

The ordinance was given 1st and 2nd -- reading. Councilman Bishop made a motion for the suspension. of
Councilman McCarthy seconded the motion. Motion carried by roll call vote of 7 ayes - 0 nays -
Brannan). The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 7 ayes - 0 nays - 2
absent (Hull and Brannan)
There being no further business, Council adjourned at 8:65 P.M.
