II REGULAR MEETING JUNE 25th, 1945.
Be it remembered that the members of the Common Council of the City of South Dend, met in regular session in the
Council Chambers, City Hall, on Monday, June 25th, 1945, at 7 :35 P.M. with all members present. Presid3ant
Mirocha presided. The reading of the Minutes of the previous meeting was waived.

Councilman Bishop made a moticn to accept the report. Councilman Niesgodzki seconded the report. Motion carried.

FROM THE GENERAL FUND OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND FROM THE FOLLOWING ACCOUNTS THE SPEEIFIC AMOUNTS
INDICATED, TO -WIT: $1,000.00 TO BUDGETQ.PY ACCOUNT NO. H233, $1500.00 10. BUDGETARY ACCOUNT 110. U210
$200.00 TO BUDGETARY ACCOUNT NO. V321, AND APPROPRIATING FROM THE STREET AND TRAFFIC FUND OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND $400.00 TO BUDGETARY ACCOUNT NO. S51; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
The ordinance was given first and second reading. Councilman Bishop made a motion to set the ordinance for
public hearing on July 9th, 1945. Councilman Korp al seconded the motion. Motion carried

AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A VETERANS' SERVICE CO &IISSION PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT AND TERMS
OF THE ZJD0ERS THEREOF: CREATING THE POSITION OF CHIEF SERVICE OFFICER; PROVIDING FOR THE USE
OF CITY PROPERTY BY SAID COMMISSION AND BY SAID OFFICER: DEFINING THE DUTIES AND POWERS OF
SAID COMMISSION AND OF SAID OFFICER: DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
The ordinance was given first and second reading. Councilman Richardson made a motion for the suspension of
rules. Councilman McCarthy seconded the motion. Motion carried by roll call vote of 9 ayes. The ordinance was
given third reading and passed by roll call vote of 9 ayes.
There being no further business, Council adjourned at 8 :45 P.M.
