TO THE CITY CLERK, PRESIDENT AND
MEMBERS OF THE COMMON COUNCIL,
CITY OF SOUTH REND, INDIANA.
Gentlemen:
South Bend, Indiana
June 13th, 1945.
You are hereby notified that under and bq virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the City of South
Bend, in the State of Indiana, a special meeting of`the Common Council of said city is hereby called to meet
at the hour of 7 :30 o'clook P.M. on June 18th, 19450 in the Council Chambers in said City for the purpose
of acting upon an Ordinance of the City known as:
AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING $30,165.79 FROM THE GENERAL FUND OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
$4,858.27 FROM THE STREET AND ALLEY FUND OF SAID CITY AND $3,2:81.19 FROM THE GENERAL FUND OF THE PARK
DEPARTMENT OF SAID CITY TO VARIOUS BUDGETARY ACCOUNTS COVERING PERSONAL SERVICES: APPROPRIATING
SAID FUNDS FOR THE USES AND PURPOSES OF SAID ACCOUNTS AS HEREIN PROVIDED: DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
The City Clerk is hereby directed to forthwith serve a copy of this notice on each and every member of the
Common ,Council and make due return of such service of said special meeting.

notice was served upon the President and each member of the Common 6ouncil of said City prior to the

REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE AHOLE
To the.Common Council of the City of South Bend:
June 18th, 1945.
Your Committee of the Whole to whom was ref er"d " An ordinance transferring $30,165.79 from the General
Fund of the City of South Bend, $4,858.27 from the Street and Alley Fund of said City and $3,281.19, from the
General Fund of the Park Department of said City to various budgetary accounts covering personal services:
Appropriating said funds for the uses and purposes of said accounts as herein provided: declaring an
emergency.
Respectfully repdrt that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this ordinance shall be
reported to the Council favorably.
WILLIAM J. RICHARDSON, CHAIRMAN
Councilman Brannan made a motion to accept the report. Councilman Hull seconded the motion. Motion carried.

DEPARTMENT OF SAID CITY TO VARIOUS BUDGETARY ACCOUNTS COVERING PERSONAL SERVICES: APPROPRIATING
SAID FUNDS FOR THE USES AND-PURPOSES OF SAID ACCOUNTS AS HEREIN PROVIDED: DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes.
There being no further business, Council adjourned at 8 :10 P.M.
