Be it remembered that the Common Council of the .City of South Bend met in regular session in the Council Chambers,
City Hall, Monday, March 8, 1943, with all members present. President Brannan presided. The reading of the minutes
of the previous meetir_o was waived.
A communication from Mrs. L. M. Coffman, regarding summer water rates, was referred to the Water Works Commissioner
on motion of .Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Heideman.
A communication from the Purple Heart Tobacco Fund was accepted and ordered placed on file on motion of Councilman
McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Bishop.

To the Commmon Council of the City of South Bend:
Your Committee of the Whole to ivhom was referred "Ordinance and agreement between the City of So. Bend? and the Fede
al Works Agency, Public Roads tdministration - (So.Main St. from Chippewa Ave. to Farneman Ave.)
Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this ordinance shall be reported
to the Council as favorable.

Councilman McCarthy made a motion to accept the report. Councilman Bishop seconded the motion. Motion carried.
