Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend met in regular session in the Council Chambers,
City Hall, Monday, November 24, 1941, with all members present. President Richardson presided. The reading of the
minutes of the previous meeting was Waived.
The Clerk read a communication from Congressman Robert-A. Grant relative to a Resolution (copy) forwarded to him on
Council motion. The communication was ordered placed on file.
REPORT OF THE COI!ITTEE OF THE WHOLE
To the Common Council of the City of -South Bend :: Nov. 24, 1941
Your Committee of the Whole to-whom was referred "An Ordinance amending Ordinance #2243, being an-'ordinance regulat.
ing all matters concerning or pertaining to the construction, alteration, repairs of additions to, remodeling, use
or occupance of buildings, or their parts, and structures of every nature in the City of South Bend, Indiana, etc.
(Selling of electric light bulbs and fuses)
Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion the City Attorney shall be instruct
ed to revise the amendment to the ordinance to set up a license fee for the sale of fuses but that the amendment
still allow the sale of electric light bulbs without a license.

Councilman Hull made a motion to accept the report. Councilman Pulaski seconded the motion. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE AMENiDING ORDDINANCE NO. 2.331 COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE.
The ordinance 4as given first and second reading. Councilman Pulaski made a motion that the ordinance be referred
to the Committee of the Whole for public hearing on December 8. Councilman McCarthy seconded the motion. Motion
carried.
Mayor Pavey-addressed the Council and advised the members of the possibility of a request from officials of the
State Armory for use of additional property at the present site.
There being no further business, Council adjourned at 8::25 l
