Be it remembered that the Common Council met in r egular session in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, City of
South Bend, on Monday, June 10, 1940, at 9:04 P.M., with seven members present and Councilmen Hull and NiezZodski
absent. The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was waived.
REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE ti ^:IDLE June 10, 1940
To the Common Council of the City of South Bend:
Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred an ordinance amending Ordinance 2243 commonly known as the Buildi
Code of the City of South Bend, Indiana-
Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion it should be reported favorably as
amended to the Council.

Councilman Pulaski made a motion to accept the report. Councilman Brannon seconded the motion. Motion carried.

AN ORDINANiCE PERTAINING TO THE CULTIVATION AND USE OF L?.T_D PLC THIN THE BOUNDARIES
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AND DECLARING A NUISANCE.
This ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Pulaski made a motion that
the ordinance be referred to the Committee of the Whole for public hearing on June 24, 1940. This motion was carri

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CONTRIBUTION OF THE SUM OF NOT TO EXCEED THREE THOUSAND
($3,000.00) DOLLARS FROM THE GEYER& FUND OF TEE RATER WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
FOR THE PAVEMENT OF WES'! ANGELA AVENUE BETYTEEiT RIVERSIDE DRIVE AND WOODWARD AVENUE.
This ordinance was given first and second readings by the Clerk. Councilman Pulaski made a motion that the ordinance
be referred to the Committee of the Whole for a public hearing on June 24, 1940. Councilman Brannon seconded the
motion. Motion carried.
There being no further business, the Council adjourned at 10:00 P.M.
