BEND, IND.
Vie, the undersigned, members of the Common Council, hereby call a special
meeting of the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Ind., to convene
at the Council Chamber at the City Hall at 9:05 P.M. on the 26th day of
February, 1940, for the purpose of receiving and acting on the report of
the Ways & Means Committee on an ordinance entitled "An Ordinance Appro-
priating Certain Funds from the General Funds of the City of South Bend,
Indiana, for Emergency Purposes."
Dated and signed this 26th day of February, 1940, at 9:00 P.M.

The special meeting was called to order at 9:05 P.M. and the Call 'of a Special Meeting read by the Clerk.
REPORT OF THE WAYS & MEANS COMMITTEE
To the Common Council of the City of South Bend:

Your Committee on Ways & Means to whom was referred "An ordinance appropriating certain funds from the general
of the City of South Bend, Indiana, for emergency purposes."

Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this ordinance shall be given a
hearing in the Committee of the Whole at a special meeting to be held before the regular Council meeting on March
11th, -1940.
Councilman Brannon made a motion that the report be accepted and the public hearing held as scheduled. Councilman
Niezgodski seconded the motion. Motion carried.
The special meeting adjourned at 9:13 P. M.
