TO THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF' SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
The undersigned, being the of ?rners of the following described real estate located in the City of
South Bend, St. Joseph County, State of.Indiana., respectfully petitions that said. property be

Your Committee on Grievances to whom was referred an ordinance declaring; the making of unnec-
essary noises upon, near or adjacent to the streets, highways or other public places in the
City of South Bend, Indiana, a public nuisance and providing penalty therefor:
Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this ordinance
shall be referred to the Ordinance Committee for amendments as recommended.

Councilman Pulaski made a motion that the report be accepted and concurred with. Councilman
Bishop seconded the motion. Motion carried.

REPORT OF COMMITTEE ON MINUTES
To the Common Council of the City of South Bend:
Your Committee on the inspection and supervision of the minutes, would respectfully report that
they have inspected the minutes of the previous meeting of the Council and found them correct.
They therefore recommend that the same be approved.

Councilman Brannon made a motion that the report be accepted. Councilman Pulaski seconded the
motion. Motion carried.
REPORT OF CITY PLAN COMMISSION
To the Common Council October 19, 1939
City of South Bend, Ind.
Gentlemen:
Petition for change of zoning classification of Lots #373, 374 and 375 of the original plat of
South Bend has not been acted upon by the City Plan Commission.
The principal petitioner has asked that this petition be tabled.

Councilman Pulaski made a motion that the petition be tabled. Councilman Bishop seconded the
motion. Motion carried.
Councilman Niezgodski made a motion to have the president of the Board of Works notify the
Northern Indiana Railway Company to continue their present schedule of transportation service
until such time as the report (check -up) and finding and any other material bearing on the
matter in question are presented by the railway company to the Board of Forks and Council.
Councilman Bishop seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Councilman Niezgodski made a motion to have the Board of Works ask the Chi. S.S. & S.B. Railroad
to install a flasher at the crossing of Olive Street and the South Shore tracks and to make a
report on same at the Council meeting of Novenber 13. Councilman Bishop seconded the motion.
Motion carried.
There being no further business, the Council meeting was adjourned.
