AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA APPROPRIATING $167,052 RECEIVED FROM THE U. S. DEPARTMENT OF
HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT'S SHELTER PLUS CARE GRANT PROGRAM
WITHIN FUND 212 COMMUNITY & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FUND.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
In order to provide housing & services to seriously physically and mentally ill individuals
within our community, the City of South Bend received funds from the U.S. Department of
Housing and Urban Development for the delivery of such services through various subgrantees.
The funds appropriated in this ordinance will aid in defraying the costs of housing and provide
services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South
Bend, Indiana:
Section I. The sum of $167,052 is hereby appropriated and set aside within Community
& Economic Development fund (#212) to be allocated as follows:
Madison Center
Aids Ministries/Aids Assist
$126,156
$40,896
Section II. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the
Common Council and approval by the Mayor,.
