REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 11,1939
Be it remembered the Common Council of the City of South Bend held a regular meeting in the
Council Chambers, City Hall, Monday, September 11, 1939, at 7 :38 P.M. Councilman George Hull
was absent. President McCarthy presided. The reading of the minutes was suspended.
IRTPORT OF THE CITY PLAN OOMMISSION
To the Common Council
City of South Bend
(Gentlemen:
Sept. 9, 1939
the City Plan Commission has three petitions for change of zoning classification before it that
are not yet acted upon. One is for Lot #41 Kaleys Second Add. Another is for Lots #23, 24, 25
and 26 Leeper's Second Add. The Third is for lots 373, 374 and 375 of the original plat of the
City of South Bend.
IThe petitioners have asked that action be delayed on the first of these.
IThe second and third are still under consideration.

IOouncilman Richardson made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file. Councilman
Brannon seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Councilman Pulaski mad.e a motion that the report be accepted and. placed on file. Councilman
Brannon seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Inasmuch as the Congress has now adjourned without taking any action which would authorize the
Public Alorks Administration to make 'further allotments, there is nothing we can do at this time
regarding the above referenced application and, therefore, we are returning; it to you and closing
our files on the case.
The P.W.A. ar)preciates your cooperation in submitting; this application for its consideration in
connection with the program heretofore authorized by the Congress, and it is regretted that an
allotment could not have been made for the project.

ICouncilman Pulaski made a'motion that the communication be placed on f ile. The motion was second,
ed by Councilman Niezgodski. Motion carried.
Councilman Brannon requested that a. communication be directed to the Chief of Police tasking that
the ordinance prohibiting; the perking of cars on public streets between the hours of two o'clock
A.M. and six o'clock A.M. be strictly enforced. The Clerk was so directed.
There being no further business, the Council meeting adjourned at -5:00 P. M. The motion made
by Councilman Pulaski and. seconded. by Councilman Richardson.
