Gentlemen:- You are hereby notified the under pnd by virture of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the City of South Bend, in the State of Indiana, a. special meeting of the Common Council of said City is hereby called to meet at the hour of 7:30 P. M. on August 16th, 1939, in the Council Chambers in snid City, for thepurpose of reconsidering certain budgetary items before publication of the proposed budbet. The City Clerk is hereby directed to forthwith serve a copy of their notice on each End every member of the Common �'ouncil of spill City and make due return of such service at said special meeting. Ernest .Busch MEMBER OF THE SOUTH BEND POLICE DEPARTMENT Councilman Jordon made a motion that the Board of Works go th steel covered bodies on garbage contract. Seconded. by Councilman Brannon. Roll call 8- Eyes -0 nayes-1 absent. A motion by Mr. Richardson and second by Mr. Brannon that the Council recommend to the Board of Works that garbage be collected twice a week during the months of June, July, August and. Sentmber beginning next year, 1940. Roll call- Ayes - Brannon, Jordon, Richardson, Hull, Bishop. Nayes- Neizgodski, Heideman, 2nd Pulaski. Ayes - 5, Nayes - 3, 1 absent. Brannon made E motion that the �'ouncil authorize the Boprd of Works and the Mayor to r•eadjuat the figures in the budgetary item for the Garbage Department from $24,8 ©0.00 to 09,940.00. Motion was seconded by Richardson. Rol-1 call - Ayes — Brannon, Jordon, Richardson, Hull, Bishop. Nayes - Neezgodski, Heideman and Pulaski. 1 Absent.
