Be it remembered that the Common;. Council met in Specie -1 Session in the Council Chambers in the
City Hall, March 6, 193q, at the hour of 7 :40 P.M. All members were present. President M'cCarth3
presided.

March 2nd, 1939
You 'are hereby notified that under and by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the
City of South Bend, in the State of Indiana, a special meeting of the Common Council of said
city is hereby called to meet at the hour of 7 :30 o'clock P.M. on March 6th, 1939, in the
Council chamgers in said c ity., ',f or the :purpose of considering the approval of certain contracts
for the purchase of equipment executed by the Board of Public Works and Safety on behalf of said
city. The City Clerk is hereby directed to forthwith serve a copy of this notice on ea -ch and
every member of the Common Council of said city and make due return of such service at said
special meeting.

ORDINANCE APPROVING CONTRACTS FOR THE PURCHASE OF PERSONAL PROPERTY,
ENTERED INTO BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC ITORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH BEND, INDIANA
This ordinance was; given its first reading by title, its second. reading in full, Councilman
Hull made a motion to suspend the rules. Councilman Pulaski seconded the motion. Motion ca.rriec
The ordinance was given its third reading by title and placed upon its passage and passed by the
following .vote: McCarthy, Brannon, Jordon, Richardson, Hull, Niezgodski, Bishop, Heideman and
Pulaski - 9 Ayes - 0 Nays. Ordinance adopted.
Councilman Pulaski motioned that the meeting of the Council be adjourned. Councilman Brannon
seconded- the motion. Council . adjourned at 7 :45 P.M.
