Be it remembered that the Common Conncil met in the Committee of the Whole in the council
Chambers of the City Hall, Monday evening, August 22nd, 1938, at the hour of 7:40 P. M.
All members were present except Councilman James. Chairman Goetz presided.
ORDINANCE N0. 3253
An Ordinance amending ordinance #2948 chenginathe matter of fees provided in Section 3 from
Twenty -Five Dollars 15er quarter period to Twenty -Five Dollars per annual period.
Councilman Palicki- chairman of the Fees and Salarie- Committee, reported that said ordinance
go,t-o the Council favorably. Councilman Hull moved that said report be accepted. Councilmm
Ke)rn.er seconded the motion. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE NO. 3258
An Ordinance fixing the salaries and providing for paid vacations of certain city officials
and employees of the Municipal City of South Bend, Indiana, and'repealing all ordinances and
parts of ordinances in conflict therewith.
Councilman Hull moved that said ordinance go to the Council favorably. Councilman Palicki
seconded the motion. Motion car3lead.
ORDINANCE NO. 3257
An Ordinance fixing the salaries for the various officials of the Civil City of South Bend,
Indiana., for the period commencing January 1, 1939, to December 31, 1939, both inclusive.
Councilman Chambers moved that said go to the Council favorably. Councilman Hull seconded
the motion. Motion carried.
Councilman Fish moved that in said ordinance under "United State Public Health Clinic" the
word "inspector" by changed to "Investigator ". Councilmen Chambers seconded the motion.
Motion carried.
Councilmen Kerner moved to adjourn. Councilman Fish seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Committee of the Whole meeting adjourned at 7:50 P. M.
