RESOLUTION: RESOLUTION ALLOCATING THE SUM OF FIFTEEN HUNDRED DOLLARS ($1500.00) FROM THE AMOUNT APPROPRIAT FOR W. P. A. PROJECTS IN THE 1938 BUDGET TO PROJECT #1052, THE SAME BEING THE STREET AND ALLEY PROJECT FOR THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND. BE IT RESOLVED by the Common. Council of the City of South Bend, Indipna: That in addition to the sums previously a.11ocpted by this body out of the amounts budgeted for 1.939 for W. P. A. Projects that the sum of fifteen Hundred �ollprs ($1500.00) be allocated end set over unto Project #1052 to pay for additional materials and supplies for the City's Sponsor Shpre of spid project. Motion carried. 42 ORDINANCE NO. 3250 Ps amended An Ordinance to amend ordinance No. 3221 as emended passed by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, August 9, 1937 and approved end signed by the Hon. George W. Freyermuth, Mayor of the Uity of South Bend, Indiana, August 11, 1937, licensing and establishing regulations for those engaged in promoting_ Putomobile and motorcycle recing within the City of South Bend Indiana. . The ordinance was given its first reeding by title, its second reading in full and on motion of Councilman Fish was referred to the Ordinance Committee which will meet immediately and te-- port tonight. CcoancilmPn James seconded the motion. Motion carried. Recessed for Ordinance Committee_- 10:05 P. M. Regular meeting continued at 10:10 P. M. Councilman Chambers moved for amendment to Ordinance - after grandstand fourtq line Section 5 add "and the licensee to maintain police supervision to keep this area clear of spectators." Council,iPn Fish seconded the motion. Motion carried. Roll ;call on suspension of rules - Hull, Goetz, Bierwagen, James, Kerner, Fish, Chembers, Rasmussen and Palicki. 9 ayes. 0 nays. Rules suspended. The ordinance was given its third reading by title Pnd was placed upon its pessage and passed by the following vote: Hull, Goetz ,,Bierwagen, James, Kerner, Chambers, Rasmussen a.nd Palicki. 8 ayes. Fish 1 nay. ' O'rdiriance adopted as emended. There being no further business Councilman Kerner moved to adjourn. Councilman Rasmussen seconded the mctiori. Motion carried.
